Terms of Service – Superior Computers Sales and Service
1.1: Superior Computers Sales and Service (from this point forward refered to as SCSS) will only perform and provide computer services, repairs, and upgrades as requested by the customer. SCSS will conduct honest, reasonable, and reliable services. Every situation is different and specific results cannot be guaranteed.
1.2: Computer sales/repairs are provided as a service. There may be circumstances under which your computer can not be repaired. It may have to be rebuilt, upgraded, or replaced.
1.3: The length of time required to service/repair your computer cannot be accurately predicted. Estimated times will be provided for your convience only.
1.4: During any repair procedure, there is always a risk of some or all data loss. You are responsible for making any necessary primary backups of any and all data you value as important or irreplaceable. In the event of such loss, your backups can be used to restore your data. You may request that SCSS make you a secondary backup for an additional fee. SCSS will not be held responsible under any circumstances for loss of data. (See 4.4 below)
1.5: You authorize the SCSS providing to install anti-virus, diagnostic software, driver updates, or any other necessary software on your computer to perform required services. Most software will be deleted or uninstalled upon completion of the service.
2. BILLING TERMS
2.1: Computer services/repairs are billed as stated on the service order or invoice provided. The most common services are charged by flat rate fees. Certain services may be charged by the hour. Our rate is $40.00 hour.
2.2: There is a $30.00 fee for on location service calls. This charge is added on top of the service you have requested
2.3: Not all services can be completed on site.
2.4: An estimate of cost for work will be provided before performing computer services/repairs. Estimates
are not guaranteed.
2.5: In the case that there is an unforeseen deviation beyond the above estimated amount, we will stop work at the estimated value and get approval from you for the rest of the service.
2.6: In the case that you cannot be reached, work will stop until contact is established.
2.7: All services/repairs are subject to Indiana State sales tax.
2.8: All credit card transactions will include a $2.00 transaction fee. There is no fee for cash or check.
3. PAYMENT TERMS
3.1: Full payment is due upon completion of services, upgrades, or repairs unless otherwise specified.
3.2: All hardware, parts, or software that needs to be ordered have a 20% minimum down payment.
3.3: SCSS accepts cash and credit card payments online via PayPal.
4.1: Service(s) are provided in an effort to fix, upgrade, or otherwise repair the computer system(s) for which you request such service(s).
4.2: Your system will not be intentionally harmed. The primary goal is to fix your computer; not damage it.
4.3: You agree to not hold SCSS, and any person(s) associated with SCSS, or any software involved responsible in the case of accidental damage to your system, including data loss, caused by already existing problems in your system such as viruses, poorly configured software, hardware problems, hardware failures, or damages resulting from such problems.
4.4: It is your responsibility to make a primary backup for your data.
4.5: All services will be conducted in a professional, reasonable, and timely manner. Also, taking into consideration the circumstances and nature of the technical problems.
6. REPAIRS & SERVICE WARRANTY
6.1: All parts are guaranteed for 30 days from the date on the Invoice, Service Order, or Receipt unless stated otherwise.
6.2: If later found that the service or repair was incorrectly diagnosed, SCSS will perform the repair/service free of any labor charge. If needed, only parts will be charged to correct the problem.
6.3: Warranty periods differ from product to product or service to service. It is always best to ask first.
